What Peptides Are Not.

The Gray Market Problem:
A large online market sells peptides labeled "for research use only." These products are often shipped from overseas sellers or unregulated domestic sources with no prescription requirement. Many patients first encounter peptides through social media, forums, or research chemical websites that make bold claims and offer lower prices.
Why this is a problem:
• No verified purity or potency. Independent testing of gray-market peptides frequently finds under-dosed products, the wrong peptide, or no active compound at all.
• Contamination risk. Products may contain bacteria, heavy metals, residual solvents, or unknown fillers because they are not made under pharmaceutical sterile standards.
• Mislabeled concentrations. A vial may claim 5 mg when it contains far less (or more). This makes safe dosing impossible.
• No medical oversight. There is no evaluation of whether the compound is appropriate for you, no baseline labs, and no monitoring for side effects or interactions.
• Legal and regulatory exposure. Purchasing and using prescription or research-only substances outside legitimate medical channels can carry legal risk for the buyer.
• Wasted time and money. Substandard product can delay real progress and create a false sense that "peptides do not work" when the real issue is quality and supervision.
